Horseshoe Casino Baltimore is preparing for the rollout of sports betting in Maryland with a new sportsbook and sports bar on the first floor of its South Baltimore facility. The Brew Brothers will take over a space vacated by Guy Fieri’s Baltimore Kitchen & Bar and the casino’s Caesars Sportsbook will open adjacent to the space.
Both concepts are currently under construction by Baltimore general contractor Mahogany Inc. The Brew Brothers will open later this fall. The retail sportsbook’s opening date will be determined by the state’s regulatory review process.
The Brew Brothers was created by the Carano family in 1995 at the Eldorado Resort Casino in Reno, Nevada. It has been named the ‘Best Brewpub in America’ by Nightclub & Bar magazine. The venue will feature an extensive list of local draft beers and handcrafted cocktails, as well as a range of food options including custom burgers, wings, salads, ribs, specialty pizzas, tacos, pasta dishes, and desserts.
The Brew Brothers will be led by Horseshoe Baltimore Executive Chef Samantha Love and The Brew Brothers Chef Anthony Copeland. Lisa Koerner will serve as the restaurant’s general manager.
Horseshoe Casino Baltimore will hire a total of 60 new employees to staff The Brew Brothers. And, the casino is offering a $500 signing bonus for employees who stay for more than 90 days.
The Brew Brothers will seat a total of 250 patrons indoors and on its outdoor patio. It will have many televisions and two “fan caves” for private group parties.
“We’re thrilled to introduce The Brew Brothers concept to Baltimore,” said Anthony Carano, president and chief operating officer of Caesars Entertainment, in a press release. “In addition to serving up the best pub food in Baltimore, we also will be collaborating with four exceptional local brewers – DuClaw Brewing Company, Union Craft Brewing, Checkerspot Brewing Company and Diamondback Brewing Company – to offer our guests 24 of the region’s most popular draft beer options. The Brew Brothers will be the place in Charm City to check out all the sports action beginning later this football season.”
“No sports book is complete without great food and drinks,” said Horseshoe Baltimore Senior Vice President and General Manager Randy Conroy in a press release. “As sports wagering is approved in Maryland, the addition of The Brew Brothers sports bar and restaurant will make the Horseshoe the best place in the region for guests to catch their favorite games.”
While two new concepts are coming to Horseshoe Casino Baltimore, the COVID-19 pandemic has left the facility with several restaurant vacancies. GDL Italian by Giada closed its second-floor restaurant, and Guy’s Bar-B-Que Joint and Lenny’s Deli closed at the Baltimore Marketplace food court.
