CANBY — The Canby/Minneota boys and girls cross country teams both took first place at their home invite on Thursday.
On the boys side, Canby/Minneota took first with a team score of 27, followed by Ortonville in second (33), Border West in third (63) and Russell-Tyler-Ruthton in fourth (101). For Canby/Minneota, Blake Stoks led the way with a second-place time of 17:30 while Kolton Duis took third with a time of 18:04 and Zach Ourada took fourth with a time of 18:47. Blake Giese took eighth with a time of 19:16 while Isaac Bach took 10th with a time of 19:32, Colton Ruether took 13th (20:18), Sam Skorczewski took 14th (20:30) and Tristen Bierschenk took 15th (20:51). Nicholas Full took 17th (20:55), Hunter Cleveland took 24th (21:53), Caleb Danielson took 27th (22:15), Joseph Wollum took 30th (23:15) and Logan Myhre took 32nd (23:44) to round out their times.
For RTR, Aidan Johnson led the way with a 25th-place time of 21:58 while Logan Roelofs took 26th (22:12), Gavin Schuers took 31st (23:17) and Isaac Dagel took 34th (24:11). Emmett Petersen took 39th (25:58) while Steven Preslin took 40th (26:17) to round out their times.
On the girls side, Canby/Minneota took first with a team score of 16, followed by Border West in second (43). RTR recorded an incomplete team score. Canby/Minneota took the first four spots, led by Grace Drietz’s first-place time of 19:18, followed by Claire Stoks in second (20:33), Braelyn Merritt in third (20:37) and McKenzie Ruether in fourth (21:45). Natalie Stoks took ninth with a time of 23:56 while Lillie Wollum took 11th with a time of 25:26 and Hannah Fadness took 13th with a time of 25:35. Jaelin Anderson took 17th (27:54), Rachel Wollum took 18th (27:59) and Isabel Thompson took 21st (29:51) to round out their times.
For RTR, Autumn LeBrune led the way with a 12th-place time of 25:30 while Faith Thomsen took 21st with a time of 26:26 to round out their times.
