Following the incident, Hamas also warned in a statement that the killing of unarmed Pelastinians could lead to the failure of talks aimed at a deal on a truce and hostage release.
“The negotiations carried out by the motion’s management usually are not an open course of on the expense of the blood of our individuals,” it stated, referring to Thursday’s deaths and saying Israel can be answerable for any failure of the talks.
