Nitish said the Maharashtra police should co-operate with Bihar police in the investigation. “It is the legal duty and role of Bihar police, as an FIR has been filed in Patna,” he said, adding there was no clash between the police of the two states.
But his deputy, spoke in a confrontational tone. In a scathing attack, Sushil Modi asked, “What will the Congress show to the people of Bihar?” In a series of tweets in Hindi, he vented his anger on the Shiv Sena-led coalition government in Maharashtra for creating hurdles for the visiting Bihar police team investigating the 34-year-old actor’s death.
Meanwhile, Sushant’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti made an appeal to PM Narendra Modi demanding justice for her brother who died last month.
Kirti posted a brief note on social media, urging the PM to ensure that there was no tampering with evidence. “We are from a very simple family. My brother had no Godfather when he was in Bollywood nor do we have anyone right now,” she wrote.
