CBS Sports chairman Sean McManus has introduced he plans to step down from his place in April 2024, with David Berson to exchange him.

McManus joined CBS Sports as president in 1996 and performed a key function within the broadcaster regaining the rights to the National Football League (NFL) in 1998. The US broadcaster has since expanded its portfolio significantly, including properties such because the Uefa Champions League, the Masters and the Big Ten school sports activities convention.

“Leading CBS Sports has been an honour and I have been so fortunate to work with the most talented team in sports media, along with our incredible partners, for nearly three decades,” stated McManus.

“It has been a fantastic run and the thrill of a lifetime. I am pleased to leave CBS Sports in an even stronger place than when I arrived, knowing that all of our marquee properties are locked up through this decade and beyond.”

Berson joined CBS Sports in 2011 and was elevated to the function of president in 2013. His function has included the duty of overseeing the broadcaster’s belongings, in addition to shaping the division’s strategic course and main its rights and expertise acquisitions.
