Today on the CrossFit Games update show, it was revealed that CBS Sports will be broadcasting the in-person competition in Aromas, CA set to take place from October 18-25. The second stage will feature the top 5 men and women from the online competition going on this weekend in athletes’ home gyms across the globe. 

One big thing: Less than two months in, new owner and CEO Eric Roza has added a series of important changes to the competitive CrossFit landscape. Bringing back a major television broadcast partner like CBS Sports, who also broadcast the 2017 and 2018 Games, is a major move forward towards increasing the overall footprint of the sport of CrossFit. 

What we know so far: There’s very little information currently available and CBS Sports wasn’t able to provide any more details as to what coverage will look like, but fans can rest easy knowing there will be live coverage of the competition.
