In yet one more massive restoration, the Jammu and Kashmir police recovered an enormous cache of arms and ammunition from Uri in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Baramulla police tweeted the {photograph} of restoration and stated, “Major recovery in Uri along with 3 Rajput of @adgpi. 8 AKS 74u with 24 mags and 560 rds, 12 pistols (Tokarev type) with 24 mags and 244 rds, 14 grenades, 81 balloons with Pak flag imprint, among other incriminating materials recovered.”

Speaking on the restoration, Colonel Manish Punj stated, “Police along with Army recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition in the general area of Hathlanga Sector of Uri in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.” Colonel Manish Punj, Rashtriya Rifles
“The war-like stores seized included 8 AKS 74 rifles with 24 magazines, 560 live rifle rounds, 12 Chinese pistols with 24 magazines, 224 live pistols rounds, 14 Pakistan & Chinese grenades along with 81 balloons with Pak flag”, he added.

Earlier this week, a joint workforce of the Jammu & Kashmir Police and the Indian Army nabbed 5 Hizbul Mujahideen associates. The suspects allegedly offered shelter, logistical help, and arms and ammunition.
Four of the suspects had been recognized as Ab Rouf Malik, Altaf Ahmad Payer, Riyaz Ahmad Lone, and Ab Majeed Beigh. Another suspect from Bandipora was additionally arrested.
When Ab Rouf Malik, Altaf Ahmad Payer, and Riyaz Ahmad Lone, who had been working within the Kralpora space, had been interrogated, they revealed details about two hideouts constructed for terrorists of the Hizbul Mujahideen. The hideouts had been constructed on the directions of a Pakistani terrorist handler Farooq Ahmad Pir, alias Nadeem Usmani, of Kakroosa Kupwara.
