Wearing masks will be mandatory at all times: Broadcasting Minister
While you may be tempted to get back to viewing your favourite movies, soaking in the full cinematic experience, it is important to understand that the threat of the pandemic is still looming large, as the number of new cases continues to rise exponentially. Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar underlined the same in a press briefing on Tuesday. He said. “Cinema halls shall be allowed to open with 50 per cent capacity only and people will maintain one-seat distance. Wearing masks at all times will be important.”
We are listing down the SOPs issued by the government of India for reopening of cinema halls:
1. Cinema halls to operate with 50 per cent seating capacity.
2. Adequate physical distancing to be maintained while seating; seats will be marked “not be occupied” to maintain distance.
3. Wearing face covers or face masks will be mandatory, at all times.
4. Only asymptomatic individuals will be allowed to enter the cinema hall and premises.
5. Installation and use of Arogya Setu app is recommended for everyone.
6. Thermal screening will be carried out before entering the premises.
7. Staggered show timings for different screens to be followed.
8. Regular cleaning, disinfection and sanitization of complete cinema halls and box office to be done.
9. Only packaged food items and beverages to be allowed inside cinema halls.
10. Temperature setting of all air conditioners to be between 24-30 degree Celsius.
