ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Vendors are cleaning up after this year’s massive ‘GO Fest’ celebration took over the Star City this past weekend.
Vendors, music, stunt shows, and so much more filled downtown Roanoke — for the first time in a decade — from Elmwood Park to Market Square.
One man says the festival gave him a chance to get away from all the stress in the world.
“Living in today, it’s really stressful,” said Dakota Hypes, a GO Fest attendee, “and coming out during a pandemic and seeing everyone having a good time, it relieves a lot of stress and it’s really calming to see everyone having a good time and being happy outside.”
There is no word on where GO Fest will be held in 2022, but organizers are already coming up with ideas for next year’s event.
