Gandhinagar: Chief minister Vijay Rupani launched various projects of the state sports, youth and cultural affairs department through a video conference from Gandhinagar. These development works include the ‘mobile to sports initiative’, employment guidance centres for athletes and a project to develop sports grounds in 500 villages.
Rupani said the state government committed to provide training to enthusiastic and talented sportspersons, enabling them to perform at the national and international levels and to ensure their employment.
Rupani said that just like Gujarat is number one in startup rankings, innovation and the establishment of various universities, it is time for the state to become a leader in sports.
