Coronavirus Cases India: India’s recovery rate is at 63.25 per cent.

Coronavirus Live Updates: India’s coronavirus tally surged to 9.68 lakh cases on Thursday morning after 32,695 new patients were registered in the last 24 hours in the country’s biggest single-day jump in fresh infections, the Union Health Ministry said.

About 6.1 lakh patients in the country have recovered so far and the recovery rate stood at 63.25 per cent on Thursday morning. India is the third worst-hit country by the pandemic after the United States and Brazil.

Meanwhile, India has signed bilateral agreements with France and the US that will allow airlines of each country to operate international flights starting Friday, Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said on Thursday, adding that similar arrangements with Germany and the UK are being worked out too.

Neela Satyanarayana was the first woman commissioner of the Election Commission. She was detected positive with COVID-19 a few days back and was undergoing treatment at Seven Hills Hospital at Marol in Andheri (East), where she breathed her last, reports ANI.
14-Day Total Lockdown In Odisha’s Worst-Hit Four Districts
The Odisha government on Thursday announced a 14-day complete lockdown in four districts and a municipal corporation with high coronavirus load beginning from July 17 evening, reports PTI.
100 Patients Break Out Of Assam COVID Care Centre; Block Highway
Around hundred patients broke out of a COVID Care Centre in Assam’s Kamrup district and blocked National Highway 31 on Thursday, alleging that they were not provided with proper food and water, officials said, reports PTI.

India has signed bilateral agreements with France and the US that will allow airlines of each country to operate international flights starting Friday, Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said.

American carrier United Airlines will be flying 18 flights between India and the US from July 17 to July 31 and Air France will be operating 28 flights between Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Paris from July 18 to August 1, he said.
