The council has labored in partnership with Castlepoint Markets and Wellington Town Council to make sure the leisure obtainable through the late nights attracts not solely locals but additionally out of space guests. Wellington Market late night events will be held on the following dates throughout 2023: 29 April, 27 May, 24 June, 29 July, 26 August, 30 September, 28 October, and 18 November.

Telford & Wrekin Council has awarded 39 start-up grants to businesses totalling £79,000, helping to grow the markets in Wellington, Madeley and Newport and encourage local shopping. Work is also underway to support the relaunch of Oakengates Market as part of the Oakengates Town Fund plans which will redevelop the markets former home into a new vibrant event space.
