CPI national leader Atul Anjaan has appealed to PM Narendra Modi to convene a meeting of all chief ministers to discuss the important issue of rising crime against women in view of recent cases of rape in Hathras, Balrampur in UP and other parts of the country.

Talking to this reporter, the CPI leader condemned the manner in which Hathras administration behaved with the parents of the victim not allowing them to attend the cremation of their daughter.

He said that there was no justification for the local administration for going ahead with the cremation in midnight without the family members of the rape victim.
