THANE: The Thane Crime Branch are attempting to find the consumers after the arrest of a Shahpur resident who was present in possession of hash oil, charas and Ganja valued Rs 31 lakh.

The seizure of hash oil is being busted for the primary time in Thane, the officer mentioned.

A police officer mentioned that the probe is being carried on figuring out and apprehending dopyes who bought narcotics from the accused, mentioned Vikas Ghodke, senior inspector of crime department unit-5.

The police mentioned that the accused was initially trapped from Indira nagar and so they had seized 3.2 kgs of ganja throughout delving deeper into the case, additional interrogation revealed the extent of his illicit actions. Subsequent raids on Bhalerao’s residence uncovered further stockpiles of contraband, together with over 60 kgs of ganja, 290 grams of high-quality charas, and 135 bottles of hash oil.

“Bhalerao’s modus operandi exploited the social media platform of Instagram to facilitate the sale of cannabis products having over 3500 users,” Ghodke knowledgeable.

“Preliminary Investigations revealed that Bhalerao sourced the hash oil from overseas suppliers via his Instagram account, that source used to courier him and then he used to sell it in the market at higher prices, using the Instagram account only. our team is also checking his bank accounts for any of the links in the illegal trade of drugs,” mentioned the officer.

Simultaneously, authorities are questioning the accused to uncover any potential accomplices or connections inside the drug peddling community in and round Thane or different elements of the district.
