CubiCasa, a Finland-based proptech company in the floor plan market industry, today announced the launch of a free digital floor plan technology, according to a press release shared with FinLedger.

The company says the aim of this option is to make floor plans standard on American properties. The release mentions the National Association of Realtors Home Buyers and Sellers Generational Trends Report from 2021 which says floor plans (67%) rank as the third most desired listing feature for homebuyers, after photos (89%) and detailed information about properties for sale (86%). However according to CubiCasa, only 10-15% home listings in the U.S. have floor plans.

The company also claims the technology offered by them will remove obstacles faced by agents and sellers like cost and acquiring accurate measurements, while making a floor plan. The new feature will let users choose optional add-ons for each purchase based on demand. Options include Fixed Furniture details, Digital GLA or expedited deliveries, the rease says.

The Finnish company’s smartphone scanning technology claims to take five minutes to generate a floor plan for an entire house. However, the new feature will eliminate the cost aspect from the equation. The press release also says CubiCasa will lower the pricing for all its products globally.

In other recent proptech news, Xeal partnered with Harrison Street to install 300 EV charging stations. GTIS Partners also announced a $140M joint venture with Collett Industrial.
