Delhi-Mehrauli Murder Case Updates: A Delhi court docket on Friday ordered the Rohini forensic science lab to conduct the narco check of homicide accused Aaftab Amin Poonawalla inside 5 days. Here are key developments:

• One of Walkar’s friends revealed that he had helped her file an FIR against Poonawalla because he beat her, back in 2020. However, she later said such things happen in a relationship, and denied the police officer who offered to detain Poonawalla, the friend told news agency ANI. “The police officer suggested detaining Aftab for interrogation but she said such things happen in a relationship,” her friend Rahul Rai said.

• A senior member of the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) who has been taking Poonawala’s DNA match said that he was “way too normal” about everything and was behaving like a hardcore criminal, The Times of India reported.

• According to another official who visited the crime scene, the accused had removed the evidence from inside the house with quite professionally.

• The Delhi court allowed the police to take the Narco test and Poonawala gave his consent for it on Thursday. When the judge asked if he was aware of the implications of the narco test, the accused said “yes”.

• Nearly 100 lawyers gathered outside the court premises and protested demanding a death penalty for Poonawala. “We demand fair investigation in the matter. It should be decided expeditiously in a fast track court,” a protesting lawyer advised PTI .

• Police have recovered 13 physique elements, believed to be of the girl, from totally different areas which might be despatched for DNA evaluation.
