A dental expertise scholar misplaced ₹1.11 lakh from his checking account after he clicked on a hyperlink despatched by a fraudster.

In the criticism to the Cyber Economic and Narcotics Crime station, the coed mentioned he acquired an SMS from the fraudster on March 1 by which a hyperlink was talked about. The scholar opened the hyperlink. On March 3 and 4, an quantity totalling to ₹1,11,500 was deducted from the coed’s State Bank of India account and credited to the account in Indus Sind Bank’s department in Sikar district of Rajasthan.

The police registered a case underneath provisions of Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Indian Penal Code. Investigation is on to hint the offender and retrieve the cash.
