Tuesday afternoon during his twice-weekly press conference Ohio Governor Mike DeWine said that all fall sports may go forward as planned.
Those schools looking to switch their fall and spring sports may also do so as well.
“This order simply allows sports to go forward,” said DeWine, who himself said that sports play a vital role in the lives of many young Ohioans.
While announcing his order DeWine said that the ultimate decision would remain up to local schools to make the final decision to move forward with sports.
As for spectators, DeWine said that only family members or those very close to the athlete would be allowed to attend games.
Schools will also be allowed to have band members and cheerleaders at events as well.
