On Thursday, Donald Trump pleaded not responsible to federal accusations that he organised a scheme to overturn his 2020 election loss in an unprecedented effort by the then-president to undermine the cornerstones of American democracy. Trump, the Republican presidential front-runner in 2024, offered his plea in a Washington courtroom half a mile (1 km) from the U.S. Capitol, which his supporters stormed on Jan. 6, 2021, to stop Congress from recognising his defeat. The plea, Trump’s third in 4 months, begins off months of pre-trial authorized preventing in opposition to the backdrop of the presidential marketing campaign, by which Trump is searching for a rematch with Democratic Vice President Joe Biden.#worldnews #donaldtrump #usnews #america #usa #englishnews #latestnews
