He further alleged that a massive consignment of drugs was seized in Mundra Port in Gujarat, but instead of probing this case, the Narcotics Control Bureau, a Central agency, was hounding Khan.
“Drugs will become sugar powder if Shah Rukh Khan joins the BJP,” the senior NCP leader was quoted by news agency PTI.
Meanwhile, BJP chief Chandrakant Patil reacted to the allegations against NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede and said that he should take “necessary action” so that politicians, including NCP leader Nawab Malik realizes the “consequences”.
Malik, who is the state minority affairs minister, has been targeting Wankhede who recently led the Narcotics Control Bureau’s (NCB) ‘drug bust’.
Asked by reporters about Malik’s claim that Wankhede will lose his job within a year, Patil said, “His statement against an officer from the central agency will have consequences, and Wankhede should take necessary action to show what these consequences can be.”
Asked about Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s allegation that the aim of the NCB’s recent actions was to defame Bollywood and take the film industry out of Mumbai and Maharashtra, he said the question should be asked to the Central agency and not to him.
