Jamshedpur, Sept. 7: Athletics Federation of India (AFI) organised a seminar for the ‘announcers and event presentation managers in the modern era’ was conceived to make athletics attractive to its fans at all levels, on 30 and 31 July 2020.

The online seminar saw national and international announcers and sports event management specialists. They shared their experience and gave insight into the new technology being used.  The seminar was in keeping with the mission to give the fans a great experience at all levels, from National to district meets.

After the two-day seminar the participants were given certificate of participation by Athletics Federation of India. On September 6, East Singhbhum district sports convener and technical officer cum announcer Shyam Kumar Sharma was handed over the certificate by MLA and former minister Amar Kumar Bauri.      

The seminar, organised by the AFI in partnership with the South Asian Athletics Federation, the Oceania Athletics Association and the European Athletics, was participated by more than 1500 announcers and event presenters from 42 countries.
