Fans of Sherlock and the excellent Millie Bobby Brown, we’re less than a week away from the premiere on Enola Holmes on Netflix. Based on a character from Nancy Springer’s novels, the film takes on the story of Sherlock’s genius baby sister Enola. A brand new game is afoot in the YA film and that calls for new character posters featuring the all-star cast of the film.
Netflix just dropped fresh character posters from Enola Holmes starring Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill, Helena Bonham Carter and Sam Claflin. The descriptive posters tease new adventures, character traits with clever puns.
First up, Henry Cavill’s Sherlock gets a poster that reveals a “new perspective” on the famous detective. The Man of Steel and The Witcher actor gets a classic Sherlock get-up and with his affinity for transformations, there’s a lot to look forward to. Enola Holmes approaches Sherlock from his younger sibling’s perspective.
At the Center of the action is Millie Bobby Brown as Enola. The Stranger Things star isn’t just the protagonist of the film but also the producer. Enola is Sherlock’s younger sister who grew up in the countryside. The film introduces a new member of the sleuthing family and places her in a fun teenage adventure.
Helena Bonham Carter’s poster focuses on the mysterious nature of her character. As we know from the trailer, Enola, Sherlock and Mycroft’s mother Eudoria Holmes disappears mysteriously. This brings the brothers back to the family home from London and sets Enola on the path of cracking her first case.
Sam Claflin’s Mycroft poster teases a conflict in the film. The trailer sees him as the eldest Holmes sibling who would like nothing better than to give Enola an education in being a fine young lady.
Netflix’s Enola Holmes is a young adult film led by a fourth-wall-breaking Millie Bobby Brown. The film’s plot revolves around Enola and her budding detective skills as she solves the mystery of the missing mother. The film releases on September 23, 2020. Check out the trailer here:
