The Entertainment Group has announced that the casinos owned by the Group which are located in its properties in Hamilton and Queenstown are going to resume work without COVID-19 restrictions.
The COVID restrictions involve physical distancing, routine disinfection processes, wearing of masks in public places etc.
This comes after majority of the cities in New Zealand now fall under Alert Level 1, which is the lowest level of alert and does not require physical distancing norms to be followed.
Except Auckland, largely majority of the country falls under Alert Level 2 while Auckland falls under Alert Level 2.
This means operations can resume without physical distancing measures, the venues can host events and the casinos are now open to the general public. This implies that the casinos are permitted to accept guests who are rewards members only, with limited operations.
The second wave of COVID-19 hit New Zealand in August and then casinos were allowed to re-open from August 31 as long as the casino follows physical distancing and other health and safety measures.
However, Entertainment Group has announced that it would resume casino operations without COVID restrictions.
