Pakistan batter Sarfaraz Ahmed was injured in the course of the second Test towards Sri Lanka after being struck on the top by a bouncer on Wednesday and was changed by Mohammad Rizwan. Ahmed suffered the blow within the second session of the third day from a bouncer bowled by Asitha Fernando. He is below the commentary of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s medical panel, in response to ICC. The wicketkeeper-batter was going through his first ball of the innings and was making an attempt to duck the bouncer when he was hit on the again of the top.

While Sarfaraz continued to bat and made 14 runs in 22 balls, he seemed unwell. A physio was referred to as to test on him after which it was determined that he won’t bat additional in the course of the day.

Agha Salman then joined Abdullah Shafique within the center.

The ICC enjoying situations permit for a like-for-like alternative when “a player sustains a concussion or suspected concussion as a result of a head or neck injury during the course of the relevant match.”

Pakistan are forward within the Test match with Shafique’s unbeaten double hundred giving the crew a large first-innings lead after their bowling assault had worn out Sri Lanka for 166 on Day 1.
