NEW DELHI: BJP on Saturday requested Congress to expel Rahul Gandhi for his remarks that Chinese troopers had thrashed Indian jawans through the newest border skirmishes in Arunachal Pradesh, saying it had lowered the morale of the nation’s armed forces.
“It is highly condemnable and unpardonable. Our armed forces are the epitome of sacrifice, bravery and valour,” BJP chief JP Nadda stated and added, ” We all know that Congress had signed an MoU with the Community Party of China. It is also in the public domain that the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation had taken funding from the Chinese embassy. Perhaps that is the reason why Rahul always speaks in favour of the Chinese government and its army.”
He stated when the Indian forces had been on excessive alert in Doklam, “Rahul was meeting Chinese officials in the Chinese embassy in a clandestine manner”. “This places an enormous query mark on Rahul’s patriotism. He had even forged aspersions on surgical strikes and the Pulwama terror assault. Rahul has by no means spoken in favour of India and its armed forces. He speaks the language of Pakistan and China,” Nadda stated, condemning the comment of Gandhi which, he stated, is a “sad reflection of his mental bankruptcy”.
BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia stated if Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge just isn’t “remote-controlled” and if the opposition celebration stands with India, then Gandhi must be expelled for his feedback. Rahul ought to tender an apology to the nation for his assertion, he stated. UP CM Yogi Adityanath additionally sought an apology from Rahul and stated his remarks had been “indecent and childish”.
