Fair Technology Ltd has formed a strategic partnership with Hyundai Motor to act as the latter’s authorised distributor of passenger vehicles and after-sales service provider.
Mutassim Daiaan, director of Fair Technology Ltd, announced the partnership and inaugurated a sales programme through a webinar in the capital on Saturday, said a statement.
“Bangladesh is a growing market for automobiles, and with the completion of many infrastructural projects, including new roads the use of brand new cars is expected to account for half of the total cars used”, Daiaan said.
Reconditioned cars dominate the roads in the country, he added.
“Manufacturing cars in Bangladesh will be our key focus,” said Fair Group chairman Ruhul Alam Al Mahbub.
He expected to set up a new manufacturing unit of Hyundai soon after getting support from the Hyundai Motor and necessary policy support from the government.
“We’ll be able to meet expectations through futuristic design and user-centric driving device that would elevate customers’ lifestyle, “said YS Lee, vice president of Hyundai Motor’s Asia & Pacific Region.
Fair Group aims to enhance the lifestyle of Bangladeshis by providing innovative products, services, quality and convenience in collaboration with the leading global brands, said its officials.
The group is currently manufacturing Samsung smartphones and consumer electronics apart from running its own retail and enterprise business and franchisees across the country.
Fair Technology is embarking on this journey unveiling Hyundai’s popular sedans, namely Sonata and Elantra, and SUVs, such as Palisade, Tucson and Santa fe.
All of these vehicles boast user-centric features, intelligent technology, premium leather seats, sunroof, stylish alloys and modern amenities. They are manufactured in South Korea and available from ready stock, said the company officials.
Fair Group’s CMO Mesbah Uddin and Head of Marketing JM Taslim Kabir also spoke in the webinar.
