A Bengaluru primarily based household on 17 December accused Air India of not permitting his pet to board the flight regardless of having clearance.
Twitter person named Sachin Shenoy posted the video on his Twitter account and mentioned that the pilot of the airways didn’t enable the pet canine contained in the aircraft regardless of having a boarding cross.
Shenoy and his household have been going for a 12 day trip to Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. He was going to board AI 503.
In a video message, he mentioned, “We have been suppose to board the Air India flight AI 503 at 17.10 to Delhi after which to Amritsar. We have been suppose to be on our 12 day journey to Amritsar, Dharamshala, and Dalhousie. We had booked this ticket about 3 months again. We have been fixed contact with the Air India authorities on course of for journey with pets.”
“Our pet weighs 4.2 kilograms and with the bag she is hardly 5 kilograms heavy. As per the foundations, she will fly contained in the cabin. She acquired all checks executed and was issued a boarding cross,” the Shenoy said.
“The pilot, Captain Chopra, denied entry to us or that’s what was informed to us.”
“We have been informed that you may go away your pet and go…It is nearly as good as leaving your child and flying,” he further shared.
“Is this what travel in India is all about? Is this what the Modern India is all about?” He added that he had paid for the accommodations and switch for his 12 day journey. Responding to Shenoy’s question on Twitter, the airline mentioned, “Dear Sir, we remorse the discomfort brought on. It’s by no means our intention to trigger any inconvenience to our passengers. After which, Shenoy posted a letter, which confirmed that he was denied entry as a result of the pilot in command didn’t allow him to journey together with a pet within the cabin.

“However, the Commander of the flight was not totally happy with the cage and muzzle of the pet which is why he couldn’t enable it to be carried within the cabin,” the airline said.
To which Shenoy said that this was blatant lie. He wrote, “The commander never saw the pet or the cage, he refused to speak or come and see the per or the cage. That’s a blatant lie.”
The airline additional added, “Our laid-down Policy for the Carriage of Pets on Domestic Flights clearly mentions that “pet carriage is subject to the approval of the commander of the flight.”
As a goodwill gesture, the airline revalidation of the tickets for all the journey for the following day.
“However, as a goodwill gesture, we’re providing you a revalidation of your tickets for all the journey tomorrow. Kindly settle for our humble supply as we’d love Fluffy to fly with us.”
“While I appreciate ur gesture, give me the above assurances and also need clear details of the itinerary in the next 30 minutes to see if we can still travel based on what ur options are… If not its a waste. Look forward to your response,” Shenoy replied.
On 18 December, Shenoy additional tweeted within the thread and mentioned that he recieved a name from Air India Bengaluru however he was not given any assurance on the journey of his pet. “Just recvd a name from airindiain Blr, Poovanan. He mentioned he can not give any assurances on the pets journey, and once more will likely be determined by the pilot. Looks just like the sham continues…”
Shenoy also went on and started a petition on this incident. The petition has garnered support from 328 people.
