Panic gripped the Sector-34 market after a hearth broke out at an eatery on Wednesday.

The hearth, suspected to have erupted as a result of a short-circuit, engulfed the eatery, Pav Bhaji Express, inside minutes, inflicting loss price over ₹2 lakh. The store’s interiors, cooking instruments and tools and consumables have been utterly gutted. The employees escaped damage by dashing out in time.

A hearth officer stated they obtained details about the fireplace round 3.50 pm, following which three hearth tenders, together with two from the Sector-17 hearth station and one from the Sector-32 hearth station, rushed to the spot.

Firemen instantly eliminated three fuel cylinders from the store to keep away from tragedy.

Sukhwinder Singh, a fireman on the spot, stated, “There were a lot of visitors at the market at the time of the accident. Fortunately, the fire was controlled timely, preventing it from spreading to other booths nearby. Prima facie, it seems to have been caused by a short-circuit, but the exact reason will be established following investigation.”

In the aftermath of the fireplace, the proprietor and workers took the ravaged tools out to analyse the harm. Manak Oberoi, the proprietor of the restaurant, who was in a state of shock, refused to remark.

Three males had a providential escape after the SUV that they have been travelling in caught hearth in Sector 66 on Wednesday.
