Imran Khan has appealed his conviction by submitting a plea on the Islamabad High Court.

Pakistan’s jailed former prime minister Imran Khan has informed his attorneys to take him out from the Attock jail as he doesn’t need to stay in a cell that’s infested with flies through the day and bugs at night time.

Khan, charged with corruption within the Toshakhana case and sentenced to 3 years, is sad and apprehensive as he stays holed up in his jail cell.

The 70-year-old cricketer-turned-politician was arrested on Saturday shortly after an Islamabad trial courtroom discovered him responsible of “corrupt practices” within the case.

Khan has appealed his conviction by submitting a plea on the Islamabad High Court.

Khan’s counsel Naeem Haider Panjotha was granted entry by the jail authorities Monday to fulfill him, who after seeing the PTI chairman mentioned that the previous premier was being stored in “distressing” situations offered “C-Class jail facilities”.

Panjotha mentioned that Khan was in excessive morale regardless of all such difficulties and vowed to spend his lifetime in jail however would not bow to slavery.
