The famous quote ‘Brother and sister, together as friends, ready to face whatever life sends. Joy and laughter or tears and strife, holding hands tightly as we dance through life.’ rightly describes a brother and sister’s bond.
On the occasion of Bhaubeej, taking a trip down the memory lane on the release of Shivamrut movie a decade ago, Producer Mayur Gharat said “Shivamrut is a tribute to the bond of a brother and sister”. It’s a story based on the life of Sadashiv, a Shiva devotee and a kindhearted farmer, and his sister Amrita.
Amrita is married into a good family. However, after some time, her gambling-addict father-in-law starts harassing her and her brother for money. The story unfolds beautifully to reveal true nature of several characters. The plot twists keep you gripping and the brother-sister duo’s affection, resilience and devotion that help them overcome adversities is truly captivating. “This project is very close to my heart because of the subject it is built on. It conveys that a brother and sister’s bond is imprinted in our hearts and will never be diminished by time and distance.” added Mayur.
In addition to producing Shivamrut and co-producing several other Marathi movies, Mayur is a successful entrepreneur, model and fitness & lifestyle influencer (@the_mayurrr). Despite a myriad of responsibilities, Mayur is very passionate about producing.
“When it comes to the entertainment industry, there is a fire within that just won’t die out” said Mayur. Mayur has also revealed that he is coming up with a new project with another take on siblings’ bond. Since the project is in the nascent stage, he couldn’t tell us any further details, but it sure does sound promising and we can’t wait to hear more.
