Foreign minister S Jaishankar had a telephonic conversation today with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi — a first since Monday’s violence at Galwan Valley in Ladakh in which 20 Indian soldiers died.

“India and China should follow important consensus reached by their leaders,” Mr Wang told Mr Jaishankar, reported news agency Press Trust of India.
