Mel Gibson spent a week in a Los Angeles hospital in April after testing positive for COVID-19, his representative said Friday.

The 64-year-old actor and director has completely recovered and is doing “great” according to the rep. He also said Gibson has tested negative “numerous times” since then.

Gibson is the latest in a long string of high profile figures to go public with coronavirus diagnoses and recoveries including Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, George Stephanopoulos and the singer Pink.

For most people, the new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks. For some, especially older adults and those with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness and even be fatal.

The U.S. has more than 4 million known cases of the coronavirus, with more than 140,000 deaths, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.

Chrissy Teigen may undergo another breast reduction surgery after deciding her breasts are still “too large” despite having her implants removed.

The model, cookbook author and TV personality previously announced she was preparing to go under the knife to have the implants she had inserted at the age of 20 removed after she began to experience discomfort.

In June the 34-year-old dubbed the operation a success and tweeted: “Surgery went great!”

However, on Thursday Teigen, who is married to musician John Legend, admitted she isn’t completely satisfied with her procedure and is considering undergoing another.

The Chrissy’s Court star took to Instagram to show off her outfit, which included a white tank top and jewelry.

“This is supposed to go over each (breast),” she referring to a gold body chain she was wearing. “And yes, they are still huge. I think I honestly will do it again and have them made smaller. I did not expect that they would still be this large.”

On Monday, the mother of two posted a clip of her operation after she was faced with messages from trolls who accused her of lying about the procedure.

So, to prove the doubters wrong, Teigen posted a clip on her Instagram Story on Sunday in which she lifted up her yellow bikini top to expose the vertical scars that run down under her nipples.

Alanis Morissette fears she’d have died young if she did not have a “whole team” of therapists.

The 46-year-old star has survived eating disorders, an alcohol problem and postpartum depression after the birth of her third child last year.

And she fears that without intensive therapy she’d have become another rock ’n’ roll casualty.

“If I didn’t have a whole team of therapists throughout my life, I don’t think I’d still be here,” the Ironic singer tells The Guardian newspaper.

The star says she once believed success would cure her mental health issues but found fame was not all it was cracked to be and that she was shunned by other stars.

“I was sold that fame would be a panacea to solve all problems, that I’d be singing Kumbaya with my celebrity friends,” she adds. “I thought I was gonna phone Bjork and Tori (Amos) and all of us were gonna love each other. I reached out to a lot of people. Often I was met with: ‘Why are you calling me?'”

In addition to therapy, she also works through her issues by writing music, and releases a new record, Pretty Forks in the Road, on July 31.

“Songwriting is an exercise in letting the unconscious out,” she explains. “I live my whole life, then I take 10 minutes to write the story of it.”

Amber Riley has cried so much that her “tear ducts have dried out” following former Glee co-star Naya Rivera’s death.

Rivera was found dead in California’s Lake Piru earlier this month following a five-day search and rescue operation when she went missing following a boat trip with her four-year-old son, Josey.

Many of the 33-year-old’s Glee co-stars have been left devastated by her passing, with Riley expressing her sorrow to fans in a post on her Instagram post on Thursday night.

“We are working as a cast and crew and a family to come together and show love, and it’s all because of you,” she wrote. “Your presence brought so much excitement, so much passion, so much joy, and in your absence you’re STILL holding us accountable and getting us together. I’ve cried until my tear ducts have dried out, now it’s time to celebrate the fact that us mere humans got to experience walking through life with an earth angel. Rest well. I pray you found the peace we all are searching for.”

Riley added that she says the names of Rivera and Cory Monteith, another of her former Glee co-stars who died of an accidental overdose in 2013, every day to “hold you in my heart.”

“Please keep Naya’s family in your prayers. Please be mindful of the things you say to them or messages you send. If it’s anything beyond condolences and words of encouragement, keep it to yourself. All they need is love and good energy and support right now. We clear? Cool. Thank you,” Riley concluded, apparently referencing the messages sent by trolls to Lea Michele, who famously didn’t get on with Rivera while filming Glee.

Kanye West has seemingly delayed the release of his new album Donda: with Child amid his mental health struggles.

The rapper has been hitting headlines in recent days due to his worrying behaviour, which has included saying at a presidential campaign rally that he and wife Kim Kardashian nearly aborted their daughter, North, and tweeting that he’s been “trying to divorce” the reality star since 2018.

Kardashian released a statement on Wednesday saying that West needed to be given time and compassion as he continues struggling against bipolar disorder, and now it seems West has decided to postpone the release of his new record.

Despite saying that the album was due to be released at midnight on Thursday, the deadline passed without any sign of the offering on streaming services.

West has yet to address the apparent delay on his Twitter page.

It wouldn’t be the first time the father of four has postponed an album release. In November 2018, West was due to release his album Jesus Is Kind, but the record didn’t materialize until October 2019.

Meanwhile, it has been claimed that while Kardashian wants to help her other half, he’s threatening to “live stream” any intervention she stages to “show the world the truth.”

“Kanye is very unwell and everyone’s very worried for him,” an insider told Britain’s The Sun newspaper. “He’s acting extremely paranoid and seems convinced Kim and Kris Jenner are ‘out to get him.’

“He’s told her that if the Kardashian family try and stage an intervention he’ll live stream it on Twitter and ‘show the world the truth.’ He’s warned Kim that he knows the family ‘secrets’ and will put them all out there. There’s a lot that isn’t on the reality show (Keeping Up with the Kardashians): feuds, secret celebrity hookups, surgery, financial deals and rows within the family.

“But Kim’s only concern at this stage is getting Kanye help and protecting their children. She’s very worried.”

Johnny Depp’s lawyers have introduced new video evidence from “an anonymous source” they claim shows Amber Heard “attacked” her sister, they told Britain’s High Court on Friday.

Depp is suing U.K. tabloid The Sun, its publisher News Group Newspapers (NGN) and its executive editor Dan Wootton over a 2018 story that branded him a “wife beater” in relation to allegations Heard made against her ex-husband, which he denies, after they split in May 2016.

The third week of the trial has featured Heard and her sister, Whitney Henriquez, giving evidence in an effort to corroborate claims Depp was violent towards her on 14 occasions.

However, according to Deadline.com, on Friday, the Pirates Of The Caribbean star’s lawyer David Sherborne claimed he had received the video from a “confidential source” on Thursday night, after Henriquez gave evidence that her sister had never attacked her.

She also told the court she saw Depp punch Heard “really hard in the head multiple times” in Los Angeles in March 2015 and admitted that her sister punched Depp on that occasion, but only did so in her defence because the 34-year-old believed the 57-year-old actor was going to push her down the stairs.

Sherborne told the court that Depp’s legal team is in possession of “material which we say demonstrates Ms. Whitney (Henriquez) was lying yesterday.”

He added: “We were contacted to explain that Ms. Amber Heard had a history of violence and attacking people and this video, which was attached, of her sister Whitney (Henriquez) was taken shortly after Amber Heard had attacked her and Ms. Whitney (Henriquez) was filmed with people commenting on the bruises on her face and body.”

The video is reportedly unaired footage from a 2006 reality TV show featuring Henriquez with visible marks chatting to pals, who say Heard “beat your a–.”

Questioned about the video, Henriquez said: “That was a really bad reality show we were referencing a verbal argument that my sister and I had the night before.”

Insisting there were no injuries and the video was misleading, she added: “That person was trying to make a storyline, albeit a bad one, interesting. She was trying to create a narrative that was not there.”

Explaining why she did not want to discuss the fight at the time, she continued: “I had no interest in bringing a verbal fight with my sister, a personal matter to me and bringing it on camera.”

Heard was also accused of messaging her sibling during her evidence on Thursday despite all witnesses being ordered by the judge, Mr. Justice Nicol, not to communicate with anybody while giving evidence.

Sherbourne contended that as Henriquez’s evidence about the so-called “stairs incident” is “the only occasion on which any other human being is supposed to have witnessed” his being violent towards Heard, and that as such, “the reliability of Ms. Whitney (Henriquez) is critical.”

The trial continues.

Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, have filed a lawsuit over drone pictures taken of them and their son Archie inside their home.

The couple has enlisted celebrity attorney Michael J. Kump for its new legal proceedings, which it decided to undertake after learning that a picture of Archie taken in its Malibu, Calif., yard was being shopped around media outlets.

“Every individual and family member in California is guaranteed by law the right to privacy in their home. No drones, helicopters or telephoto lenses can take away that right,” Kump told Fox News in a statement on Thursday. “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are filing this lawsuit to protect their young son’s right to privacy in their home without intrusion by photographers, and to uncover and stop those who seek to profit from these illegal actions.”

After stepping back as senior members of Britain’s royal family in January, Meghan and Harry moved to North Saanich with Archie, before a British tabloid published details of their new abode, and led to hordes of photographers descending on the property.

They then relocated to California, reportedly to the house of Hollywood star Tyler Perry, where the same thing happened again.

In a bid to prevent photographers from getting shots of their family, Harry and Meghan erected a large mesh fence around the property in the gated community, but this just led to snappers using drones and helicopters to try and get their shots.

“Some paparazzi and media outlets have flown drones a mere 20 feet above the house, as often as three times a day, to obtain photographs of the couple and their young son in their private residence,” Kump writes in the complaint. “Others have flown helicopters above the backyard of the residence, as early as 5:30 a.m. and as late as 7 p.m., waking neighbours and their son, day after day. And still others have even cut holes in the security fence itself to peer through it.”

With regards to the pictures taken of Archie in their yard, Kump added: “The plaintiffs have done everything in their power to stay out of the limelight except in connection with their work, which they freely admit is newsworthy. But the photos at issue are not news. They are not public interest. They are harassment. The sole point to taking and/or selling such invasive photos is to profit from a child.”

Harry and Meghan are suing three different defendants, identified at this stage only as John Does, and are requesting that any illegal pictures of Archie be turned over. In addition, they’re seeking compensatory and punitive damages.

Michelle Obama will interview her husband, former U.S. President Barack Obama, on the first episode of her new Spotify podcast.

The ex-leader will join his wife for the show when it debuts on Wednesday for what’s described, according to Deadline.com, as an “an intimate conversation about community, the love that powers our relationships, and their life after the White House.”

The former First Lady also addresses the recent Black Lives Matter protests following the deaths of African-Americans at the hands of U.S. police officers.

“Given everything that’s going on right now, from the killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and the ongoing protests and conversations that are testing our patience-and our consciences … not to mention all the challenges we’re experiencing due to the pandemic, I think that these days, a lot of people are questioning just where and how they can fit into a community,” she opens the first episode by saying.

On a lighter note, the couple also playfully discusses its time in lockdown.

Their conversation will also focus on the differences in their upbringings; his in Hawaii by his white mother, anthropologist Stanley Ann Dunham, without his Kenyan father, Barack Obama, Sr., in contrast with Michelle’s who was raised by her parents Fraser Robinson III and Marian Shields Robinson, in Chicago, and how they have been shaped by their communities.

Other guests in the podcast series will include Washington Post columnist Michele Norris; Dr. Sharon Malone in a discussion on women’s health, and Michelle’s brother, Craig Robinson, in a chat about siblings.

Episode six will centre on marriage and feature Conan O’Brien, while Barack’s former adviser Valerie Jarrett will make an appearance in episode seven to discuss mentorship.

Demi Moore hopes her new erotic podcast will encourage women to become better acquainted with their bodies.

The G.I. Jane actress is the star and producer of Dirty Diana—a new erotic podcast that follows Diana, a woman at a breaking point in a sexless marriage who secretly runs an erotic website of women’s most intimate fantasies. And via her digital offering, which released its second episode on Monday, she is keen for women to learn to think of their bodies more pleasurably.

“If we don’t encourage getting to know your body and how it works, and equally how both sides work, then there’s automatically going to be a disconnect,” she told Variety. “There’s that whole group of people that want to encourage abstinence, as if that is the answer and as opposed to education. Education doesn’t mean you’re encouraging reckless, indiscriminate behavior.”

The lessons aren’t limited to women, as Moore hopes that male listeners will “feel more comfortable by having more awareness of what pleases a woman” and seek to understand “what they’re interested in.”

“I’ve always said men figure it out for themselves, and they know how they work, but what helps them to know how a woman works? I mean, we don’t know. We need a little help learning how to finesse that as well,” she explained.

The podcast from Moore and Country Strong director Shana Feste was produced entirely via Zoom throughout the lockdown, and features stars including Gwendoline Christie, Melanie Griffith, Lena Dunham, Andrea Riseborough and Rosa Salazar. Carmen Ejogo, Max Greenfield, Mackenzie Davis and others also appear in co-starring roles.

New episodes drop each Monday through Aug. 17, and you can listen here.

Will Smith couldn’t help but laugh as a fan poked fun at his wife Jada’s ‘entanglement’ with singer August Alsina.

The actress came clean about her relationship with the 27-year-old musician during a recent episode of her Red Table Talk show on Facebook Watch, revealing she and August hooked up while she and her husband, Will Smith, were separated five years ago.

Jada’s comments have inspired the August’s new track, Entanglements, which features Rick Ross, and her choice of words in describing the affair got fans talking online.

While Will has kept his head down amid the drama, on Wednesday the Aladdin actor took to Instagram to share a playful video of himself jumping rope, with the camera attached to the rope to show fans its perspective while he jumped.

While many marvelled at the cool clip, one user found the opportunity to make a clever comment Jada’s relationship reveal, penning, “Ok don’t get entangled,” adding a laughing-crying emoji.

Smith reacted to the comment, admitting it was funny—before telling the fan he’s “definitely gonna block you”.

“Hahaha… Okay… I can admit it. That’s Funny! I’m definitely gonna block you. But the joke was Very Funny!” he replied.

Keanu Reeves has described the making of the Bill & Ted ‘threequel’ as a “scrappy independent movie” in the vein of the first two films.

Reeves and Alex Winter return as the title characters in Bill & Ted: Face the Music, after fans campaigned for a new film, following 1989’s Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and 1991 follow-up, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey.

The movie will finally be released on Aug. 28, with both Reeves and Winter, both now 55, reprising their roles.

In an interview with Total Film about the movie, Reeves opened up on his experiences of working on the project which picks up the story of the pair, Bill S. Preston Esquire (Winter) and Ted Theodore Logan (Reeves), now middle-aged dads, in the present day.

“We’re still a pretty scrappy independent movie,” Reeves insisted. “It’s part of the charm! This movie is very much in the spirit of the other two films across the board. So there are Easter egg cameos, and there are other important musical figures that are prominent.

“I don’t want to give too much of it away but the spirit of it, all the way down to the soundtrack… it’s a Bill & Ted movie, straight up.”

The film sees the pals warned by a visitor from the future that they must fulfill their destiny of writing a song that will save the world.

“They haven’t turned into different people. But a lot of the comic conceit comes from that idea,” Winter added. “If you’ve got two normally unstoppable, persevering characters like this who are faced with a pretty great challenge, and they’re older, and they’re dealing with the realities of life on top of the challenges they’re facing, then what does that do?”

Reeves wouldn’t reveal any of the cameos, but his co-star added, “People will recognize them as who they are from the get-go.”

William Sadler returns as Death for the sequel, Samara Weaving and Bridget Lundy-Paine will star as Bill and Ted’s daughters, with Jayma Mays as Princess Joanna, Erinn Hayes as Princess Elizabeth, and Holland Taylor as The Great Leader.

Taylor Swift on Friday is to release a “surprise” album of brand new music she created during the lockdown.

The pop superstar, who dropped her last record, Lover, last year, announced the shock release of a new collection, Folklore, on Thursday with a message to fans on Twitter.

“Surprise (hugging face emoji),” she wrote alongside a picture of its forest scene cover art, a statement and link to her store. “Tonight at midnight I’ll be releasing my 8th studio album, folklore; an entire brand new album of songs I’ve poured all of my whims, dreams, fears, and musings into.”

In her statement, the singer revealed she has used the need to stay at home during the COVID-19 pandemic to work on new material and has collaborated with The National rocker Aaron Dessner, who has co-written 11 of the 16 songs, Bon Iver, William Bowery and Jack Antonoff.

“Most of the things I had planned for this year didn’t happen, but there is something I had planned that DID happen,” she told fans in her announcement.

Describing why she is releasing new music now, the Bad Blood hitmaker added: “Before this year I would’ve probably overthought when to release this music at the ‘perfect’ time, but the times we’re living in keep reminding me that nothing is guaranteed.

“My gut is telling me that if you make something you love, you should just put it out into the world. That’s the kind of uncertainty that I can get on board with.”
