Jan. 31 (UPI) — Four extra suspects face expenses for his or her involvement within the assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse in 2021.
Three twin residents of the United States and Haiti, James Solanges, Christian Sanon and Joseph Vincent, and Colombian citizen German Alejandro Rivera Garcia have been transferred from Haiti to the United States to face expenses.
The Justice Department introduced the extra expenses in a press release on Tuesday.
Moïse was killed in his dwelling July 7, 2021. Four suspects have been killed in a firefight with legislation enforcement after the assassination, and one other two have been taken into custody.
Solages, Vincent and Rivera are charged with conspiracy to commit homicide or kidnapping, offering materials assist or assets leading to loss of life and offering these assets realizing they might be used to kill or kidnap.
Sanon is charged with conspiracy to smuggle supplies into the United States and offering illegal export info amongst different expenses.
The Justice Department believes Solages and Sanon met with different co-conspirators in South Florida in April 2021, to debate Sanon’s political aspirations amid a regime change in Haiti.
