FRANKLIN — Firefighters battled a blaze at a multifamily home at 44 Winter St. Friday night, only to be forced o return when it rekindled on Saturday morning.
At 7:32 p.m. Friday, firefighters reported they were responding to a working fire on Winter Street, according to a Twitter post. A photo posted by the department later that night showed smoke and flames billowing from the top floor and roof of the 2,337-square-foot home.
The fire rekindled on Saturday morning before firefighters were again able to put it out.
No injuries have been reported. Fire departments in nearby towns also responded.
As of 4 p.m. Saturday, the Franklin battalion chief on duty that day had not responded to a request for comment.
The three-family home was built in 1900, according to Franklin property records, and was most recently assessed at $386,500.
