Alec Baldwin has supported PETA and been a champion of animal rights for several years. In 2012, a video in which the Hollywood actor talks about the plight of circus elephants went viral. In it, Baldwin included some footage of part of the elephants’ training, which according to him “lacks physical and mental simulation” and sees the animals being “torn away from their mothers and shocked with electric prods”.
