CLARION — The St. Edmond softball workforce broke into the win column with a 7-1 victory over Clarion Goldfield-Dows on Wednesday night time.
The Gaels (1-1 general, 1-0 North Central Conference) Had eight hits on the night time.
“It’s great to get that first win,” stated St. Edmond head coach Bill Shirbroun. “Just getting everybody again engaged on our timing and discovering our rhythm.
“One step at a time.”
Lauren Gibb and Ansley Oswald had two hits every. Faith Shirbroun, Kaili Henning, Josie Harvey and Payton Bradley all had hits. Harvey added a triple.
Ansley Oswald and Henning recorded two RBI every. Ava Andrew drove in a run.
Shirbroun picked up the win, going 5 innings and hanging out 5 batters. Henning labored the ultimate two, fanning three.
The Gaels are again in motion on Thursday after they journey to Pocahontas Area.
