Frisco-based The Gearbox Entertainment Co. has acquired Captured Dimensions, one other Frisco-based firm that makes a speciality of 3D seize, scanning, and reconstruction companies.
Gearbox mentioned that Jordan Williams will proceed as head of Captured Dimensions and report on to Randy Pitchford, president and founding father of Gearbox Entertainment. No phrases of the deal had been launched.

A ten-year veteran of the movie and online game business, Captured Dimensions has labored on a number of the many recognizable films from such firms as twentieth Century FOX, Lionsgate, Sony Pictures, Netflix, and a number of other titles from each 2K Games and Electronic Arts.

The Gearbox Entertainment Co., based in 1999, is an award-winning, creator and distributor of transmedia leisure. It is well-known for profitable recreation franchises, in addition to acquired properties Duke Nukem and Homeworld, which it distributes the world over.
Four subsidiaries comprise Gearbox Entertainment: Gearbox Software, Gearbox Publishing, Gearbox Studio, and Gearbox Properties.
It developed hit video video games and franchises similar to Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, Brothers in Arms, and Borderlands.
In 2021, Gearbox Entertainment was acquired by Embracer Group as a wholly-owned subsidiary in a deal value as much as $1.3 billion.
