In the wee hours of Wednesday, a 17-year-old lady was discovered mendacity in a pool of blood exterior the house in Vadasserikonam close to  Varkala together with her neck sliced, says police. Her companion Gopu (20), with whom the deceased lady was rumoured to have been in love for a while, was detained by cops hours after the tragedy.

Sangeetha, the sufferer and a school scholar, was allegedly attacked with a knife after midnight after the accused allegedly referred to as her out of her dwelling. When her family and neighbours responded to the cry and disturbance at round 1.30 am, they arrived on the scene and noticed the lady mendacity in a pool of blood subsequent to the home.

Despite being delivered to the hospital by her household, she was pronounced lifeless by the medical employees. According to the police, Gopu was detained primarily based on the knowledge from the cell phone and different circumstantial proof.
