As the nation celebrates its 74th Independence Day, key figures of the sports fraternity also extended greetings towards the nation on Saturday (August 15).

It is hard now, to imagine a life lacking freedom, living under someone’s rule, however, it also is a sense of pride for Indians on how our forefathers fought hard and never gave up, breaking free from the clutches of the colonizers.

This paved the way for a free India as we know it today.

This year, the Independence day celebrations are held in a different manner due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The arrangements have been made keeping social distancing norms in mind.
