WASHINGTON — Senate Republican chief Mitch McConnell tripped and fell Wednesday at a lodge and was hospitalized, a spokesman for the senator stated.

McConnell, 81, was attending a non-public dinner at a neighborhood lodge when he tripped. He was admitted to a hospital for therapy, spokesman Doug Andres stated.
