The state tourism division and Varanasi Development Authority (VDA) on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to spice up tourism in Varanasi.

As a part of the MoU, the division and VDA will collectively develop a ‘tent city’ within the city and provide scorching air balloon rides and water sports activities actions to vacationers there.

UP Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh stated the MoU would additionally generate employment alternatives. “At present, Uttar Pradesh is leading in domestic tourism in the country. Our effort is to achieve the top sport in terms of attracting foreign tourists also,” he famous.

“After the construction of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, the city has witnessed rapid economic and social changes. The state government has planned to construct a corridor in Mathura on the lines of the KV Corridor,” he stated.

Principal Secretary (tourism and tradition) Mukesh Kumar Meshram stated the power of scorching air balloon experience was beforehand supplied to vacationers in Varanasi on a trial foundation. In view of its reputation, preparations are being made to increase the service completely… The tourism division is conducting a survey to finalise the water sports activities that may be launched within the metropolis,” he added.
