Challenging the National Investigation Agency (NIA) staff visiting America, the Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), a banned outfit led by Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, blocked the Indian Consulate in San Francisco, with a float depicting the assassination of Indira Gandhi by Shaheed Satwant Singh and Shaheed Beant Singh. Top intelligence sources mentioned they’d “speak to their counterparts”.
“PM Narendra Modi who has started the cycle of violence by orchestrating assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar must not forget October 31, 1984 and that Sikhs have always responded to the violence committed by the Indian state,” according to a statement issued by Pannun.
Top intelligence sources said: “This is a money-making tactic used by Pannun. He is using handful activists and forcing them to face the law. Their compulsion is their cases in India and property matters. Pannun is working on behalf of foreign agencies. Blocking any consulate is a serious issue and we will speak to our counterparts.”
Nijjar was killed by unidentified gunmen outside a Gurdwara in Surrey, Canada, on June 18. He was the chief of banned Khalistan Tiger Force, and was designated a terrorist by the Indian government under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) in 2020.
WHO IS PANNUN?
Pannun is a US citizen who is misusing his access in the UK and Canada. He is responsible for acts of terrorism in multiple countries.
Pannun had recently offered cash reward for a “citizen’s arrest” of Indian High Commissioner Sanjay Verma. Announcing the ‘reward’, Pannun had accused Verma of falsely elevating the bogey of terror risk to Air India to “divert consideration” from the investigation into the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
