Harjinder Singh Dhami re-elected SGPC president : The Tribune India

Harjinder Singh Dhami was on Wednesday re-elected president of the SGPC. He polled 104 votes in opposition to Bibi Jagir Kaur’s 42.

Baldev Singh Kaimpuri was unanimously elected senior vice chairman as nobody contested in opposition to him.

Avtar Singh Fatehgarh was unanimously elected junior vice chairman. Gurcharan Singh Garewal was unanimously elected normal secretary.

Out of 157 members, 146 had turned as much as take part within the election strategy of SGPC, the Mini Parliament of Sikhs -at Teja Singh Samundri Hall in Golden Temple complicated in the present day.

As per Gurdwara Act 1925, the SGPC physique needs to be revamped yearly by electing its president, senior vice chairman, junior vice chairman, normal secretary and 11-member government physique, unanimously throughout the normal home or by voting, if needed.
