The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for this partnership was not too long ago signed by Health Commissioner D. Randeep and Director-CEO of C-CAMP Taslimarif Saiyed.
Diagnostics and screening
The Minister, who visited the C-CAMP innovation ecosystem on Wednesday, mentioned improved diagnostics and screening on the last-mile is significant for prevention of illness and early detection. “We are prioritising these two areas as a means to boost health outcomes, while also nurturing high-quality home grown technologies. This MoU will be an immediate step in this direction,” he mentioned.
C-CAMP has through the years supported near 300 deep tech improvements in healthcare with focus in areas resembling maternal and baby well being, non-communicable illnesses, infectious illnesses, antimicrobial resistance, diagnostics, digital well being and so forth. In this partnership with the Health division, the main focus will shift to implementation of those market-ready and related well being applied sciences, he mentioned.
Mr. Randeep the partnership will allow introduction of indigenous and contextual well being options for the State. “The aim is to strengthen health outreach programmes and further the doorstep healthcare initiatives with innovative field use technologies, utilising improved screening, diagnostics and other health interventions,” he mentioned.
Naveen Bhat, State Mission Director, National Health Mission (NHM), mentioned this partnership may also be useful to handle the unmet wants within the discipline in Karnataka and provides the expertise enhance to the well being sector. “Through this settlement, C-CAMP will work in shut coordination with the State NHM and Health division to determine the crucial gaps within the public healthcare settings.
