The Cattaraugus County Health Department confirmed a 127th case of the coronavirus Saturday night.
According to a press release issued by the department, the latest case is a female who lives in the northwest quadrant of the county. The woman reports no significant travel history and denies having direct contact with a known COVID-19 positive individual. She was tested for COVID-19 after being hospitalized on Friday for a surgical procedure. Her COVID-19 positive result came back Saturday.
The department has begun thorough contact tracing on the individual.
There are 12 active COVID-19 cases in the county; 111 individuals have recovered; four have died.
