SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Tavion Thomas rushed for a career-high 160 yards and a school record-tying four touchdowns to power Utah to a 44-24 win as the school retired the number 22 in honor of the untimely deaths of Ty Jordan and Aaron Lowe. Utah (5-3, 4-1 Pac-12) is alone atop the conference’s south division and has beaten the other three contenders – the Bruins, USC and Arizona State, the only other team with fewer than three Pac-12 losses. In his first start, freshman Ethan Garbers threw for 265 yards and two touchdowns on 27-for-44 passing with an interception for UCLA (5-4, 3-3).

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Anthony Brown Jr. threw for 307 yards and three touchdowns, and No. 7 Oregon amassed a season-high 568 total yards in a 52-29 victory over Colorado. Travis Dye ran for two touchdowns and caught another for the Ducks, who extended their winning streak at Autzen Stadium to 17  games. Brendon Lewis threw for 224 yards and three TDs for the overmatched Buffaloes.

STANFORD, Calif. (AP) — Dylan Morris threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Jalen McMillan with 21 seconds remaining, lifting Washington past Stanford 20-13. Sean McGrew ran for 114 yards on 19 carries to pace Washington’s best game of the year running the ball. Cameron Davis added 99 yards on 18 attempts to help the Huskies (4-4, 3-2 Pac-12) pile up a season-high 230 yards on the ground. Peyton Henry matched his career-high with four field goals. Stanford has lost three straight since knocking off then-No. 3 Oregon.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Southern California held off winless Arizona 41-34. Drake London caught nine passes for 81 yards and two touchdowns in the first half before leaving the Coliseum field with a serious right leg injury. Kedon Slovis passed for 204 yards and Gary Bryant Jr. caught two touchdown passes as the Trojans snapped their three-game home losing streak and extended the Wildcats’ epic skid to 20 games, the longest in the Football Bowl Subdivision. Will Plummer rushed for a 16-yard TD with 12:50 to play, and Arizona trimmed USC’s lead to seven points with 6:04 left on a short field goal.

BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) — Chase Garbers threw one of his three TD passes one play after California partially blocked a punt and the Golden Bears beat Oregon State 39-25. The key point in the game came in the closing seconds of the third quarter with Cal leading by seven points when Garbers connected on a 38-yard TD pass to Trevon Clark after the deflected punt to make it 31-17. The Beavers lost for the second time in three games and fell a game behind rival Oregon in the Pac-12 North.

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Jayden de Laura accounted for three touchdowns and Washington State forced five turnovers in a 34-21 win over Arizona State. The Cougars were at their ball-hawking best in the first half, forcing four turnovers. Washington State’s offense capitalized, scoring 24 points after Arizona State turnovers for its first win since coach Nick Rolovich was fired on Oct. 18 for not complying with the state’s vaccination mandate. The Sun Devils got off to an abysmal start coming off a bye week, turning it over on their opening three drives, including twice on the first three plays.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Southern California receiver Drake London has been taken off the Coliseum field on a cart after injuring his right leg while making his second touchdown catch. London had an air cast around his leg, which was hurt while he got tackled in the end zone after catching a 6-yard TD pass from Jaxson Dart late in the first half. London has been one of the Football Bowl Subdivision’s top receivers all season for the Trojans. With nine catches for 81 yards and two TDs against Arizona, London has 88 receptions for 1,084 yards and seven touchdowns this season.

UNDATED (AP) — Now, it’s time to talk about Jim Harbaugh. There has not been much discussion about what is usually the most-discussed coach in college football as Michigan ran out to a 7-0 start. The thing is, with Harbaugh, the failures are all that seem to matter. And there was another one Saturday against Michigan State. Elsewhere, the Southeastern Conference commissioner was talking College Football Playoff expansion and teams around the country made the case to be No. 2 behind Georgia when the selection committee releases its first rankings Tuesday.
