HERITAGE CONFERENCE RELEASES HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN SPORTS PROTOCOLS

The Heritage Conference today released its Health and Safety Plan Sports Protocols. In accordance with Governor Tom Wolf’s recent change to spectators at PIAA school athletic events, here is a summary of the updated attendance protocols from the conference as they pertain to athletics.

For varsity football games, the conference will be able to allow a very limited number of spectators into its home football games, in accordance with the limit of 250 people permitted to be at the event. Available tickets will be distributed at the discretion of the host school. Those in attendance will need to wear face coverings while entering, attending and exiting the stadium and will maintain social distancing. There will not be concessions sold at games. Spectators will not be permitted to attend away games. Each conference school is working to provide live stream of activities. Contact your school for more information on live streaming.

For junior high and junior varsity football, limited spectators will be permitted to attend both home and away games. Tickets will be distributed through the participating student-athletes. Face coverings and social distancing protocols will be followed.

For volleyball games, the indoor restriction is too low to allow for any spectators. Home games and select away games will be live streamed. For live stream availability, please contact your local school.

For cross country and golf, the outdoor limit of 250 will be monitored by the host school and spectators may be limited. Face coverings and social distancing protocols will be followed.

If you have any questions regarding these protocols, please contact your local high school athletic department.
