Sri Lanka defeated Namibia by seven wickets in their Group A Round 1 match of the ongoing T20 World Cup at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Monday. Chasing a target of 97 runs, Sri Lanka posted 100 for three in 13.3 overs. Bhanuka Rajapaksa was his side’s top-scorer and was unbeaten after playing a knock of 42 in 27 balls. Meanwhile, Avishka Fernando was also unbeaten after smashing 30 off 28 deliveries. Earlier, Namibia were bowled out for 96 in 19.3 overs with Craig Williams hitting 29 in 36 balls. Maheesh Theekshana was in top form, taking three wickets for Sri Lanka.
