Around 6.67 kg gold was extracted which was moulded into 19 bars

Customs officers have seized gold value Rs 2.95 crore, hid inside physique shapers being carried by three passengers, at Delhi airport, an official assertion issued on Tuesday mentioned. 

The accused had been intercepted after they arrived from Sharjah on October 28.

The detailed examination of the bags and private search of the passengers resulted within the restoration of seven rectangular-shaped pouches containing chemical paste, showing to be gold and weighing 7.76 kg in whole, which was hid within the pockets of the physique shapers belt saved within the purse, it mentioned.

Around 6.67 kg gold was extracted from this paste which was moulded into 19 uneven rectangular-shaped bars of gold having a price of Rs 2.95 crore, mentioned the assertion issued by the customs.

The gold has been seized and the passengers have been arrested, it mentioned, with out sharing additional particulars of the accused.
