Hyderabad: Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) FLO Hyderabad chapter has launched year-long positive mental health campaign #ReachOut during a panel discussion titled ‘There is Always Somebody’, here on Friday.
Shikha Goel, Additional Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, Sameer Malhotra, Director and Head, Department of Mental Health & Behavioral Sciences, Max Super Specialty Hospitals, New Delhi and others took part in the discussion.
Usharani Manne, chairperson, FICCI FLO Hyderabad chapter said they have launched this campaign to spread the message of positive mental health and raise awareness about mental health issues.
“While debunking the stigmas around mental health, the #ReachOut campaign will encourage those undergoing it to talk about the issue, seek professional help, prioritise self-care, practice self-compassion and focus on positive thinking,” she said.
The hour-long panel discussion and subsequent Q&A brought forth several aspects of mental health from clinical psychiatry to psychology to counselling and the kind of support available to the victims and their families, a press release said.
